School Picture Day is this Friday, September 11th.
Every student will have their picture taken for school records and the yearbook. You can also choose to purchase pictures. See the flyer for instructions and information.
Preschool siblings can come to the school for pictures from 11:30am-12:00pm for pictures. Check in at the office and you'll be directed to the picture location.

In anticipation of the changes coming next school year as we move to Aspen Peaks School District, we have been given a new phone number for our school. Please take a minute to update the phone number you have stored in your contacts on your phone. The new phone number is 385-579-6360.

We are so excited to welcome our kindergarten students today. Students will meet Ms. Brooke at the kindergarten playground this morning as they arrive. We will enjoy celebrating as they enter school the first time with their teachers Mrs. Lane and Mrs. Rios at their outside classroom doors.
Once the students are inside, the PTA invites the parents to join them in the lunchroom for Kleenex and Cookies. Come learn about Highland and how to get involved.
It's an exciting week - Kindergarten students start school tomorrow.
The first day of kindergarten is a BIG milestone for kids AND parents. To make the day a little easier for parents they are hosting Kleenex and Cookies tomorrow morning.
Drop off your students and head over to the lunchroom to get a cookie and learn about some of the ways you can get involved at the school and with the PTA.

As an important reminder to help keep our students safe, please review the pick-up and drop-off areas and safety rules. We are also including the student meeting spots; we use these meeting spots specifically so siblings and younger students know where to meet each other after school.

School begins at 8:00AM and dismisses at 2:15PM. This is the same schedule every day. We do not have early out days in elementary school.

The doors of the school will remain locked until 4pm to allow teachers to prepare - then we invite you to come and visit from 4:00-5:30PM. Make sure to visit the gym where you'll find PTA Swag, Hawk Walk Info, Set Passwords, Check out Community Booths, and more.
Nearly 1/3rd of our school that still have not had their AUP (Permission to use Technology) approved by a parent in Skyward. Please take a moment before coming to Back-To-School Night and do that and your Student Information Updates. These are critical to having a successful start to the new year.
We are looking forward to seeing you later this afternoon!
