It's hard to believe this is the last week of the school year!

There is lots happening this week. Students are very excited to invite parents to come and see them perform a the Dance Festival on Tuesday the 19th at 10AM.

Most of the grades are having their field days this week. PLEASE REMEMBER , you MUST have your background check to be able to volunteer for field days, park days, or any other class activities. We will check those as you sign-in.

The last day of school is Friday. Students attend from 8:00-9:30AM. The 6th grade clap-out will be just before the last bell rings. Parents are invited to line the front walkway to cheer on our 6th grades as they finish their final day of elementary school.

Thanks for an AMAZING school year...we look forward to this final full of fun week!

Parents,

Please take some time this week to check your student's lunch account balance. We have several account that are accruting negative balances, most likely due to expiring auto pay options. Now is the tine to ensure your student has fund enough for the remainder of the year (7 more lunches) and that you don't have a negative balance. ASD Nutrition Services will begin turning over accounts to collections in June for unpaid balances. Payments can be made online at linqconnect.com or by phone through the Nutrition Services Office at 801-610-8030.

Also, teachers will begin distributing yearbooks on Wednesday, May 13th. If you child has an outstanding lunch balance or missing library book their yearbook will be held until that can be taken care of. We still have a limited number of yearbooks available for those that still want to purchase one. If you don't know if you have purchased on or not, you can reach out to Ms. Jennye in the office by phone or email and she can check the list for you.

Have a great night!

It was fitting that our final Principal's Lunch was on Principals' Day yesterday. While the faculty and staff left little surprises for Mr. Killpack, the students got to see him participate in two super fun assemblies. During the science assembly he was sandwiched between two beds of nails and had a cinder block broken over him; then at the Reading Ninja assembly he got to break a board using his ninja skills. We are thankful to have such a fun, kind, and supportive principal at Highland.
