We could use some help on Friday, October 3rd with our vision screening. We will begin at 9:25AM. Please signup here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084AAAA82FA1F94-58997626-vision if you can help. Thanks in advance for helping make this go smoother and faster for our students.

We have an amazing update for our fundraiser - the students (with your donations) had gotten us so, so close to the goal...but then just as we thought we were going to end up just shy of the total, we got word that the Nicholes family has made a VERY substantial generous donation and another matching donation to take us WAY over the top!! ALL Students will get ALL of the rewards including a super fun decades dance party and a phenomenal lunch where we will also TAPE MR. KILLPACK TO A WALL!!
We want to thank the Nicholes family and their corporate partners for ensuring that our fundraiser was such a great success and that ALL of our students get to participate in these great rewards.
If you haven't seen it yet, each student brought home their lap card with their total laps and a free treat from a local business sponsor.

The Book Fair will be open during parent/teacher conferences on Wednesday and Thursday.

It's Hawk Walk Eve. Here are all the things you need to know:
• Most important!! Students MUST still follow school dress code and have sneakers to run (please no crocks in sport mode they are unsafe for this race). Shoes and Shirts have to stay on at all times. No bellies should be seen, and shorts should not be extremely short.
• Upper grade students (4-6) will run from 9:00-9:30 and the lower grade students (K-3) will run from 10:00-10:30.
• All exterior doors to the school will be locked at 8:30AM until after the second race.
• EVERY student will receive their water bottle tomorrow morning from their teacher.
• Checkouts can be done after each race with your child’s teacher. If you need a student from the opposite race group you must go to the office.
• All three gates (parking lot, back field, and south of the gym) will be unlocked tomorrow morning. Please access the staging area by going through one of those gates. The PTA check-in table will be near the playground and the 1st grade doors.
• PARKING = PLEASE be courteous of our neighbors – do not block any driveways. Remember there is no parking on the bus curb until after 8:15AM. We know the Hawk Walk brings a lot of extra parking traffic to the area. If possible please carpool. The back gate will lock at 11AM; please plan accordingly.
We are looking forward to a great race day tomorrow.

An accident on northbound I-15 in the Lindon area has caused significant delays on the freeway and artery roads.
This road closure will impact busing throughout the district. We anticipate bus delays at multiple schools, including activity buses.
All routes will be completed, but it is unknown how long this will take.

Parents - if your students shirt is too big/little - new, non-decorated shirts can be exchanged for a different size either Wednesday or Thursday morning before school. Mrs. Harker will be available to make those exchanges at the front of the school near the flag pole.
THANK YOU FAMILIES for your donations. We made such a HUGE jump toward our goal overnight. Students are SO close to earning their school wide epic lunch and rock party where we will tape Mr. Killpack to the wall. Students may come home and tell you all about it.

The School Flag for Hawk Walk was unfurled this morning...it's Hawk Walk Week!! Today students made it half way to our ultimate goal and reached their fan favorite reward - CANDY FROM THE ROOF!
Today is your last day to pay for Race Kits and purchase upgraded SWAG. Kits will be sent home tomorrow so that students have time to decorate their shirts.
We're only half way to our ultimate fundraising goal...you can still donate. Help us reach that ultimate goal and we'll have a ROCK PARTY lunch, EAT with Mr. Killpack AND TAPE HIM TO THE WALL!!
Keep watching for daily updates this week on how our total is growing and get ready to RACE ON FRIDAY.

We want to thank our corporate sponsors! Check out this slideshow to see all them: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vNwmJvLuHM19NrjHUuO09cRV8QX4xqQ3/view?usp=sharing

Hawk Walk Fact for today: learn which team your child(ren) is on by checking out the different eras they represent on the graphic. You can help your child's team climb to the lead with additional donations.

Our Lead Singer is Team Blue (70s)! Backup Singer Green (80s) is close behind and our Yellow Ensemble (60s) takes the chorus . Check the board at the entry each day to see which colored Hawk Rocker is on top.
Our Hawk Walk fact for today is all about what the Hawk Walk looks like. The Hawk Walk is a long standing tradition full of fun! Check it out :)

Hawk Walk Update: Thank you for your support! We've earned the eras dress up days and are closing in on the opportunity to bring a stuffed animal friend to school (this will happen the week of October 6th). To track which "era" is in the lead, we have colored microphones for Happy the Hawk to hold. He'll be holding the current leader color each morning. Today that honor goes to our blue team which is the 70s era! Way to go 70s!!
We often get asked a lot about the Hawk Walk, so each day we'll also share an important Hawk Walk Fact. Today we are sharing how the funds for the Hawk Walk are spent. The funds are used to support the PTA, the Classes, and our School. Check out the graphic for details.
