Students get to dress up on Wednesday as a super hero! We'll also have the dance party and rewards assembly on Wednesday. During the rewards assembly, Mr. Killpack and Mr. Campbell will be turned into human sundaes!! We can't wait for all of the fun.

Our corporate sponsors made it possible to ensure that EVERY student at Highland received a Hawk Walk Race Kit and their donations helped push us over the school fundraising goal. This means that students will get Candy from the Roof (Monday weather depending), Popsicles at Lunch on Tuesday, and the DANCE PARTY, Super Hero Dress Up Day and Rewards Assembly all on Wednesday - at the rewards assembly we will be turning Mr. Killpack and Mr. Campbell into human sundaes!! We are so excited.

It’s finally here – HAWK WALK DAY is TOMORROW! We can’t believe our luck that we get to spend part of our day having this fun race tomorrow. Please check your email for all of the details about tomorrow's event.
Students have until Friday to decorate their shirts. Please remember that shirts still need to look like shirts and cover them. No additional graphics should be added. The shirts need to stay school appropriate.
Please be aware: We had higher requests for some of the shirt sizes. Unfortunately this required changing some of the sizes. If your child comes home with a size slightly different than you ordered please know that we tried our best and chose the closest size possible.
We are so very close to meeting our goal. Late Donations are now open if you want to add a little more to our total to help us get there.
Final details about the race will be sent home tomorrow.

Today is the final day to order your Race Kits! Make sure you've got all of that extra SWAG you want for the race. If you've already ordered your kit and want to donate more to help us reach our goal, you can use the general donation option from SchoolCash Online.

Visitors are invited to attend the Hawk Walk on Friday the 9th. Please be courteous of our neighbors and each other with parking. Enter through any of the outside gates - the school building will be completely locked from 9:30AM until after the race.

Tomorrow is our school wide Read-A-Thon and Pajama Day!
Students can wear school appropriate pajamas. Please remember that you need good shoes for outside play.
Students should bring with them at least one book to read during the day.
Students can bring a blanket/pillow/stuffie with them, but it MUST fit in their backpack.
Students will be reading in classrooms as well as participating in some reading activities throughout the school. They will bring home items from these adventures.

A couple of other reminders: all reflections entries are also due by the end of the day tomorrow and Hawk Walk Kits are on sale through Monday. The students are so excited because we have reached the Candy from the Roof reward level - they are hoping to reach the dance party level before the weekend.

We are looking forward to seeing you today/tomorrow at Parent/Teacher Conferences. We have a few reminders to share with you:
- Please plan on entering and exiting at the main front doors of the school; the times of conferences are considered and extension of the school day and we will be following state safety guidelines. This means only the main entrance will be open and the playground gates will also be locked. You will not be able to enter the school from the back.
- Please be courteous of others as you attend. Remember that parking in the bus zone is only available after 3PM. Also, if you are bringing children with you, please keep them with you the entire time.
- The Book Fair is open from 3Pm until 6PM both nights. Please remember that students need to be accompanied by and adult when at the book fair.
If you were not able to schedule a parent/teacher conference time and still would like to visit with your child's teacher, please reach out to the teacher via email. All teacher email addresses can be found under the staff section of our school website.

There's a lot happening at Highland this week!
- Come and visit the Book Fair. Early morning shopping is available from 7:30-7:50am. Students will get to shop during their regular library times. Also open Wednesday/Thursday during Parent/Teacher Conference times.
- The first Knowledge Bowl Meeting for students in 3rd-6th Grade is Monday after school.
- Teachers are looking forward to seeing you this week to share the amazing things your students are learning and doing.
- It's the final week for Reflections submissions. Find out more and submit your entries at UtahPTA.org/ref - All entires must be submitted online.
- Friday we are participating in the state-wide Read-a-Thon day AND we are having Pajama Day for our spirit Friday. We can't wait to spend time with reading adventures. Make sure to wear pajamas and bring a favorite book with you to school.
