3rd grade had pumpkin math this week. They enjoyed getting messy cutting the pumpkins open and scooping them out. They then got to use the seeds for all kinds of math including graphing.
Report Cards for Term 1 are now available in Skyward.
To access the report card for your student(s), use the Portfolio Square on your Skyward Q Homes Screen. The current report card is called: Report Card 2026-27. You will then click on the download button to be able to view the report card.

Learning about the night sky, constellations, the solar system and eclipses become lots more fun inside the Star Dome. Over the past two days some of the students have had the opportunity to be inside the dome for these fun science lessons.
Help us add our Veterans to an Honor Wall for Veterans Day.
Each year on Veterans Day, Miss Louw's class provides a service and puts flags on each Veteran's grave in the Highland Cemetery. They also learn about Veteran's. This year, we are expanding that learning opportunity to all of our students and are looking to recognize and honor those Veterans within our school community.

As the weather has changed, our lost and found has grown exponentially. If your child has a missing favorite jacket it could be here. Have them check tomorrow. Next Friday any remaining items will be donated.

Congratulations to Mrs. Webb and Mrs. Christley. They were presented certificates and mugs for their completion of the STEM in Every Classroom training.
Next week, when we return from fall break, the photographers will be at the school for picture retakes. Photo retake day is Thursday, October 22nd.
Any student who missed getting their picture taken in September and those wishing to have retakes will have their photo taken.
If you want to get retakes, you will need to return the original photo packet with your child. That will be how we know who is getting them.
If you liked the photos from the original photo day you can still order them through the Eastman Adams website.

Happy Fall Break! We hope you are enjoying the sunshine today as fall break begins. Just a reminder there is NO SCHOOL through the 19th. We will see you all back on the 20th to start the 2nd term.
What a fabulous rewards day!
It was fun to see students dressed as super hero's. We enjoyed rewarding our top runners. The ultimate thrill of the day was the excitement of turning Mr. Killpack and Mr. Campbell into human sundaes.
We hope your students came home and told you all about it.

Tomorrow is our REWARDS DAY for the Hawk Walk. Student can come dressed as a super hero (please remember good shoes and to have all dress ups be school appropriate). They will get to attend a DANCE PARTY and at the end of the day we will watch Mr. Killpack and Mr. Campbell be made into HUMAN SUNDAES! We can't wait for all of the excitement.

Last week before the rain came - 2nd grade got to go on a grand adventure to the farm. Field trips are full of amazing learning opportunities.
Early Learning Essentials offers a free preschool program that provides education for children 3-4 years old that live in poverty, have a disability or have been otherwise impacted by trauma. They provide support to the children through preschool classes and also help the parents connect with any resources they may need.
